1. Introduction & Developer Identity
MoonTube ("the Extension", "we", "us", or "our") is a Chrome browser extension developed collaboratively by Moon Media (https://mondmedien.com/) and Inov8ing (https://inov8ing.xyz/).
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and how it is protected.
2. Google API Services & OAuth Limited Use Disclosure
Google Limited Use Compliance: MoonTube's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres strictly to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you sign in with Google OAuth or authenticate to use YouTube Data API features:
- We only access minimal scopes required to authenticate your account and retrieve public YouTube video metadata and public comment threads requested by your direct actions.
- We do NOT transfer or sell your Google user data to third parties, advertising networks, data brokers, or information resellers.
- We do NOT use your Google user data for serving advertisements.
- We do NOT use human reviewers to read your private data without your explicit affirmative consent.
3. Information We Collect
A. Authentication & Account Information
When you sign in using Google or email, we collect your email address, display name, and unique user ID via Firebase Authentication to manage your 15-day free trial and active subscription status.
B. API Keys & Local Preferences
If you provide your own YouTube Data API or Google Gemini AI keys, they are stored strictly on your local browser using AES-256 encryption via chrome.storage.local. They are never sent to external third parties.
C. Saved Workspaces & Production Calendars
Saved outlier videos, custom title variations, script outlines, and calendar schedules are persisted in your local browser storage or synced securely to your private authenticated Firestore account.
4. Payment Processing (Stripe)
All subscription payments are handled securely by Stripe, Inc. We never store or handle your credit card details on our servers. Stripe processes payment data according to their strict PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance standards.
5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
You have the right to request access to or permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. To request data deletion, contact us at support@mondmedien.com or uninstall the extension to erase all locally stored data immediately.
