Statement of Limited Use Compliance
MoonTube strictly adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
1. How We Use Google OAuth & Google APIs
MoonTube uses Google OAuth solely for:
- Authenticating the user's identity to track subscription quotas and trial periods.
- Executing read-only queries against public YouTube Data API v3 endpoints (video statistics, public channel details, and public comment threads) initiated explicitly by the user.
2. Data Handling & Security Principles
- No Sale of Data: We never sell, lease, or distribute any Google user data.
- No Advertising Usage: User data is never used to build advertising profiles, retarget users, or display third-party advertisements.
- No Unauthorized Human Access: No human engineers read user private data without explicit technical authorization during a user-requested support ticket.
- Encrypted at Rest: All tokens and credentials stored locally in the extension are protected with AES-256 encryption.
